There resides,

between any two

discrete bundles

of atoms,

a resolute

gravity.

Now,

my love,

that same

inverse-square

inclination

draws close

our brilliant bodies.

Thus, I implore you,

in this fugitive moment –

Surrender to the laws

sovereign to our universe,

and free-fall into me

and receive me,

equally, in

single

graceful

curvature

of time and space.

Author's note: Gravity, like numerous other natural phenomena, adheres to the inverse square law. Thus, its magnitude, relative to two objects, is proportional to the inverse of the square of the distance between those objects. Essentially, the closer two objects are, the stronger the force of gravity between them.
